Serve on the Library Board of Trustees

The Lansdowne Public Library Board of Trustees seeks applications from interested Lansdowne residents to serve as Treasurer on the Library Board.

Treasurer responsibilities:

  1. Monitors fiscal operations of the library
  2. Works with Library Director and staff; Borough, DCLS and Board to assure financial records and accounting methods are complete and accurate.
  3. Provides oversight to ensure Library resources are managed in an economical and efficient manner.
  4. Ensures that a system of internal control exists to safeguard the assets of the Library.
  5. Recommends financial policies to the Board
  6. Works with the Library Director to make regular financial reports to the Board
  7. Assists the Library Director in preparing annual budget and presenting it to the Board and Borough for approval.
  8. Reviews the annual audit and answers Board member's questions regarding the audit.
  9. Helps guide Board actions with respect to organizational fiscal priorities.

The Board meets on the third Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. In addition, there are occasionally other planning sessions, workshops and attendance at community meetings.
